MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. In 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN to the Medellin-based company Sony, which is distributed by La Industria Inc. It peaked at 8 in the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and Ozuna the year after. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he also performed in a duet with TINI's stream popular single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was born into a musical household the mother of his younger brother and father are musicians. He's said in interviews that music is an essential part of his life. He began learning to play the saxophone, guitar the ukulele, and keyboard when he was the age of a small child. While his initial goal was to be a vet, his brother Julian convinced to him take singing lessons with an instructor in Cuban.
